Public Consultation on the Council Recommendation on Long-Term Unemployment

The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the measures proposed in the Council Recommendation on the integration of the long-term unemployed into the labour market (2016/C 67/01) and on their implementation.

The aim of the consultation is to feed into the ongoing evaluation of actions taken to implement the Recommendation, including to shed light on future possible action to support the long-term unemployed.

In early 2019, the Commission will report to the Council based on the evaluation results.

All citizens, organisations and public authorities are welcome to respond to this consultation. In particular, the consultation seeks to gather views from individual citizens, in their personal or professional capacity, civil society organisations working on the issue of long-term unemployment as well as employment and social services providers, employers, trade unions and public authorities at both national and local level.

The consultation will run until 31 July 2018.
