ESF Financial Control Unit

The ESF Financial Control Unit was established in May 1999 by the Department of Enterprise Trade & Employment (DETE) under the terms of the European Communities (Financial Checks ) Regulations 1999

2000-2006

Our unit has the responsibility for the audit of a minimum of total eligible expenditure of ESF aid under Article 10 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 438/2001 for the 2000-2006 round of funding

2007 -2013

The ESF Financial Control (FCU) has been designated as the Audit Authority of the Human Capital Investment Operational Programme 2007-2013. ESF FCU has responsibility for functions in accordance with Article 62 of Council Regulation (EC) 1083/2006 including responsibility for audits of operations selected based on a sample of operations in receipts of ESF funding.
