2007 -2013

The ESF Financial Control Unit (FCU) was designated as the Audit Authority for the Human Capital Investment Operational Programme 2007-2013. ESF FCU has responsibility for functions in accordance with Article 62 of Council Regulation (EC) 1083/2006 including responsibility for audits of operations selected based on a sample of operations in receipt of ESF funding.

2014-2020

The Internal and EU Audit Unit in the Department of Education and Skills is the Audit Authority for the Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020. The ESF Audit Authorty has responsibility for functions in accordance with Article 127 of Council Regulation (EC) 1303/2013 including responsibility for audits of operations selected based on a sample of operations in receipt of ESF funding.
